I use AI tools to create fictional Instagram Stories for familiar characters. Each post imagines what the character might share, who they might interact with, and how their personality would appear on social media.

The project began with one question: “What if our favourite characters had Instagram?” I imagined their daily posts, captions, and interactions as if they were using the platform themselves.
Process
Character-Driven Storytelling
I study each character’s personality, speech patterns, and relationships before writing the posts. I also separate public posts from Close Friends content to show what the character would share with a wider audience versus a small circle.
Process
Using AI
I use ChatGPT and Gemini to develop character ideas, captions, and image prompts. I revise each image repeatedly to adjust the character’s expression, lighting, colour, and overall mood.
Result
Impact
The third Reel brought a noticeable increase in reach and started the account’s follower growth. The account later led to brand collaborations and sponsored content, and I expanded the format from films to retro games and other categories.
